Context
A dental practice needed a website where booking an appointment was the main thing a visitor could do, rather than an afterthought buried behind a phone number.
The assignment
Build the site in WordPress and Elementor with a booking journey that moves a patient from choosing a service through to a confirmed appointment without losing them halfway.
My responsibilities
- Full site build in WordPress and Elementor
- Multi-step booking flow configuration
- Responsive layout across desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Form configuration and testing
Approach
Booking as the spine of the site
The booking flow was treated as the primary path rather than one page among many. Service selection, details, and confirmation were broken into separate steps so a patient is never looking at a long single form, which is where most practice sites lose people on a phone.
Layout that survives the small screen
Most dental enquiries arrive on a phone. Each step of the flow was checked at mobile width for tap target size, field spacing, and whether the next action was visible without scrolling.
Built to stay editable
Sections were built as reusable Elementor templates with global styling, so the practice can change copy, services, and imagery later without the layout falling apart.
